Hey there, my name is Priscila and I am thirty years old. Although most days I still feel like I’m twenty-two. I am from the beautiful island of Florianopolis, Brazil. A place I like to call paradise on earth, if you ask me. I was married to my american {handsome} husband in 2005, and three years later we moved to Turkey where our rambunctious little boy {O} was born and where we live now.

I write this little blog to my family and friends, so they can feel a little closer to us, as we go through life. I also write for the days when I’m old and senile, to remember what life was like when I first became a mommy, in a land far away from home.

As if you cared to know a bit more about me, I put together my answers to a slightly modified Bernard Pivot’s questionnaire:

What is your favorite word? thank you — The most beautiful most powerful words in any language I know.
What is your least favorite word? I’m a word person, I like words. I honestly cannot think of a word I do not like. I don’t like most curse words I guess.
What turns you on [creatively, spiritually or emotionally]? anything beautiful: beautiful words, beautiful images, beautiful clothes, beautiful people – especially the husband and the babe
What turns you off? hunger, I can’t get anything done when I’m hungry!
What is your favorite curse word? crap. I say ‘crap’ way more than I should.
What sound or noise do you love? the sound of my two guys laughing a belly laugh together.
What sound or noise do you hate? on the weekends here, there’s a little boy that sells simit (a sort of pastry) out on the streets, his uncanny call to let people know what he’s selling drives me bananas. Especially when trying to get a few extra z’s on a Saturday morning.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I’d love to be a personal shopper and stylist. Or a buyer for Anthropologie.
What profession would you not like to do? I could never be a doctor — I just can’t stand the sight of blood or hospital smells — or an engineer — let’s just say numbers aren’t my thing.
What would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Welcome home baby!

“Today you are you. That is truer than true. There is no one alive that is youer than you.” -Dr.Seuss

Go ahead, look around a while. Read, laugh and commiserate with me. As I write about life as a new mama and anything else that may suit my fancy.
