Hi, I’m Priscila.

I have no gripes about shopping at the Goodwill or thrift stores. I am on a budget, but I believe in investing in a good pair of jeans, a nice winter coat and good perfume. I love to find new ways to wear things I already have in my closet.

I am married to the husband, the most talented photographer I know. We have one son, Oliver, the cutest and smartest little boy I know. Together we live one big adventure in the land of Turkey. We are currently spending some time stateside. We are enjoying family, grandparents and getting fat on Oreos and Chick-fil-a.

I haven’t always loved to exercise but I have learned to stay disciplined and take charge of my fitness. It’s also fun to not get short of breath when chasing my son at the playground. I am a firm believer in the Insanity workouts.

If all there were left to eat and drink in the world were diet coke, coffee, bread, butter, chocolate and steak, I wouldn’t miss anything else.

I am a sinner saved by grace and my goal in life is to bring glory to God. I love Him with all my heart.

Oh yeah, I was born in Brazil and moved to America a week after we got married. I have dual citizenship, but live in Turkey. I live the crazy life of an expat.

The blog:

I blogged for three years at mom-mode about the woes and the joys of mommyhood. I decided to start this style blog to find my style groove after I became a mommy. I have always loved fashion and all things beautiful. Yet after motherhood (and turning thirty) I have found a need to pursue these things in a simple, more grounded kind of way.

I’m a simple girl, who likes simple things, hence the name of the blog. Here you will find my attempts to keep my wardrobe current and my style fresh. You may also find bits and pieces of home decor, travel, crafting and cooking. My goal is not to write a lifestyle blog but to write about simple, unfussy style. My main focus being my own personal style journey.

If you’re a mommy looking to put yourself together post baby, a grad student on a tight budget, a regular chick in need of more style in her life, I’m your gal.
